We accept custom orders from customers worldwide. Whether you have a family kimono you would like to transform, or you are simply curious about the process, we are happy to guide you every step of the way. All consultations are free, and there is no obligation until you receive your quote.
How it works
Send us photos of your kimono
Use the inquiry form below. Clear photos of the front, back, and any stains or damage are most helpful. We’ll assess the fabric and get back to you within 2 business days.
Discuss your design and measurements
We’ll talk through your preferred silhouette, length, and any special requests. We communicate by email in English and take things at your pace.
Receive your quote
Pricing depends on the kimono’s condition and your chosen design. We provide a detailed quote before any commitment. No surprises.
We craft your dress
Once the design is confirmed and payment received, we begin. Crafting time is approximately 4–6 weeks. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process.
Worldwide shipping from Nagasaki, Japan
Your dress is carefully packed and shipped via Japan Post. We send a tracking number as soon as your package leaves our workshop.
What we can work with
We work primarily with Japanese kimono fabric. Here are the most common types we accept:
- Formal silk kimono — including mourning kimono (mofuku) and visiting wear (houmongi)
- Tsumugi — traditional handwoven pongee silk
- Cotton kimono and yukata
- Kimono with age spots, minor staining, or fading — we will advise on what is workable

Via Japan Post EMS or ePacket. Delivery: 5–14 business days after dispatch. Tracking included.
We provide a full, itemised quote — including shipping to your country — before you commit to anything. Payment is made by bank transfer or through Etsy checkout.
